Outreach

To be consistent with the character of our gracious God and Savior, CCA is committed to grant a minimum of 10% of its annual general contributions to other Christ-focused organizations.

If you would like to designate a gift in addition to CCA’s normal support of these organizations, please navigate to our “Give” page and select the appropriate option.

Kenya

In 2013, Meshack Simati moved to Georgia with his wife, Beth, to finish his PhD in Political Science. They quickly became part of our church family at CCA. His father, Michael, is the President of Christ Foundation Ministry. This is a group of like-minded pastors and congregations in Western Kenya and Eastern Uganda who love Jesus, His Word, and His people. Michael’s father passed away when he was 3 years old. His own life experience has given him the passion to serve widows like his mother, Airnota, and orphans like himself.

Since 2013, CCA has co-labored and invested in Christ Foundation Ministry through:

  • Building brick (permanent) and mud (temporary) church buildings.

  • Purchasing property for church, school, and farming purposes.

  • Supply study Bibles in the native languages, Kiswahili and Kiganda, of the congregations.

  • Provide regular stipends for the pastors of the congregations. These men, their families, and their communities are simple farmers in rural areas. This financial support helps supplement their income to enable them to do more work in serving Jesus and people.

  • Provide supplies and other necessities to train widows in skills relevant to their community to help them sustain their households.

  • Individual support: Whether for pastors, widows, or orphans, multiple opportunities have come about to provide transportation, dwellings, surgeries, food, animals, clothing, or similar necessities to strengthen these individuals and their families.

  • Wiphan Academy (School for Orphans): as of today there are 190 Pre-K though 5th grade orphans being educated intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in a village called Muyayi just outside of Bungoma, Kenya. (167 at our school and 22 in public schools)

    • Currently, we have built classroom, administrative, and kitchen buildings on the church’s property.

    • The ground floor of permanent 4-story school building will open Jan 15, 2027. We will add floors to this building in the future as the children age and more grades are added.

    • A bus has been purchased to expand the reach of the school to serve orphans where walking to school is not an option.

    • We provide regular financial support for: Administration, Teachers, Cooks, Security, Food, Uniforms, and Supplies.

      • Individual Child Sponsorship through Wiphan (see below): we promote individuals and families to support these children through monthly financial support.

      • Currently, 65 children have sponsors (43 at our school and 22 in public schools). 125 CHILDREN NEED SPONSORSHIP

  • Mission Trips: Since 2017, we have been to Kenya 6 times. We invite you to come and see and serve. While there we:

    • Provide Biblical training through pastor and leader conferences.

    • Visit the local congregations and church leadership to fellowship with and strengthen their faith in Jesus.

    • Visit widows and orphans in their homes and other schools.

    • Participate in a variety of outreach opportunities.

    • We have built a guest house on Pastor Michael’s family property. This enables us to fellowship with the family and community rather than separating ourselves in a hotel.

    • African Safari: you can’t go halfway around the world and not visit one of the wildlife parks to witness these wonderful animals in their natural habitats.

Wiphan Kenya’s mission is to disciple, educate and train widows and orphans to know who they are in Christ and to be able to support themselves and their families. Orphans not in school typically spend their days caring for younger siblings or walking to the community well for water and are especially vulnerable to human trafficking and abuse. Wiphan’s heart is to make sure every child knows the Gospel of Christ and to provide the opportunity for all of these children to finish their schooling.

Our Wiphan school in Bungoma is currently educating 150 orphans PreK-5th grade. We are addressing their mental, physical, and spiritual care. To support the needs of the school, select the Kenya designation on the Give page.
